Today was the day almost ALL of the home school students have been waiting and working so hard for. PIG DISSECTION DAY!!!

I don't think anyone was disappointed or too concerned about today....excitement was high and everyone was well behaved, although the noise level was on "excitement"!!
We started off with the K-3rd grade class--where one pig was worked on with the students watching. We were able to get familiar with the pig, do some exploring, probing, and some cutting today. We will get into the body cavity next week.

The higher grades were put into groups of 4 to work together to dissect the pig.

Be sure to check out the slide show below for all of today's pictures!

As I look at these, I am holding my breath and wrinkling my nose :o)~ you have done an amazing job!! Thanks so much for all of your hard work! It is greatly appreciated and the kids will never forget this experience I'm sure.
Great experience for them. Something they likely won't get at home. You're brave to do this! Excellent job. Teresa
